Makenzie Gayle Evonne Allen,16, passed away January 7,2026 at Levine Children’s Hospital after a long fight with Leukemia. Makenzie was born July 20, 2009 daughter of Kenneth and Crystal Allen. Makenzie is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Elvin and Evonne Greene and Girleen Greene.

Makenzie was a junior at Kings Mountain High School. Makenzie was a devoted stitch fan and loved her dogs Lily, Dixie and Blackjack. Makenzie loved going fishing with her dad. Makenzie loved her family.

Makenzie is survived by her parents Kenneth and Crystal Allen of the home.

Brothers: Matthew Allen, Christopher Allen (Brooke), Westley Allen.

Sister: Tiffany Allan

Parental Grandparents Libby and Randy Allen.

Numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Godmother Tabitha Curtis.

Makenzie leaves behind special friends: Brandie, Chloe and Bryan Champion and Lori Hamrick.

Makenzie leaves behind the love of her life Alex Champion. Makenzie and Alex had an amazing relationship of two wonderful love of a lifetime and loved each other to the moon and back. They loved going on sweet little dates, fishing, and the beach with Alex's family that loved her so much.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 2:00 PM in at Chestnut Ridge Church with Pastor Josh Vernon officiating

VISITATION: Tuesday, January 13, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM prior to the service at the church

INTERMENT: Chestnut Ridge Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
