Marcella Collins Crawford

Marcella Collins Crawford, 60, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on April 27, 2026 at her home. Born September 12, 1965 in Lenoir, NC, she was the daughter of the late Robert Pritchard Collins and Barbara Louise Prestwood Collins. She was also preceded in death by brothers Robert Jeffrey Collins and Howard Kevin Collins. Marcella was raised on Prestwood Carp Lake in Lenoir and fishing always remained a large part of her life. Her favorite activity was fishing, be it on a creek, a lake, or the ocean, from a bank or a boat or the shoreline. It was even while she was fishing that she met Tony, the man she would spend the rest of her life with.

Marcella was a devoted wife, loving mother, and doting Mawmaw. She was understanding, a great listener, and a devout Christian. She lived for her grandkids, eager to accompany them in whatever activities they liked and wanted to do. Marcella was a fierce warrior. She faced her cancer diagnosis with grace, determination, and a strong faith in God and lived each day to its fullest.

Children: Tiffany Severt Burnett and husband, Casey Laurance Burnett, and Jonathan Curtis Crawford and wife, Sarah Elizabeth Crawford

Brother: Joseph Andrew Collins

Grandchildren: Hunter Kevin Crawford, Donna Rashea Albea, Hannah Elizabeth Crawford, Jonathan Matthew Patterson II, Haiden Gracie-Faith Patterson, Olivia Faith Crawford, Layla Marcella-Faith Patterson, Chloee Jean Burnett, Ember Rain Burnett, Sean Blake Stafford, and Matthew Shane Bennett

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at Christian Freedom Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Reynolds officiating

VISITATION: Saturday, May 2, 2026 prior to the service from 1:00 to 1:50 P.M. at Christian Freedom Baptist Church

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
