Marcella Deese Short, 74, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on March 06, 2025 at Atrium Health Cleveland in Shelby, NC. She was born December 16, 1950 in Gaston County, NC, daughter of the late Glenn Crisp and Betty Roseberry and was preceded in death by a grandson, Austin Short. Marcella worked for 15 years at Clyde A. Short Company in the warehouse. She enjoyed spending time working word search puzzles and visiting the mountains where she loved watching the bears in their natural habitat. Marcella loved her family dearly and always placed their well being above her own. Spending time with those she loved was her favorite thing to do. She was a wonderful Maw Maw and treated everyone she met like they were her grandchildren. Marcella was a wonderful person who will be missed dearly by everyone who knew and loved her.

SURVIVORS: Children: Billy Short (Amanda) and Donna Hamrick (Darrell Ogle) both of Kings Mountain, NC Siblings: Harold Crisp (Priscilla), Kings Mountain, NC, Bobby Joe Hannah (Lori), Asheville, NC, Katherine Moss, Cherryville, NC, Kathy Ray (Rick), Clover, SC, and Diane Gorton (Patrick), Stanley, NC Grandchildren: Heather, Jeffery, Alley, Abbey, Brandon, Chloe, Masyn, Ozzy, Corey, and Bree 5 Great Grandchildren

VISITATION: Tuesday March 11, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Family Life Center of Patterson Grove Baptist Church
