Marjorie June Barnes Harman, 85, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026, at Testa Family Hospice House with her devoted husband of 50 years, Harry Harman, by her side.

Born on July 8, 1940, in Athens, TN, Margie was the daughter of Joe Lee and Mildred Dockery Barnes, who nurtured in her a lifelong love of laughter, storytelling, and caring for others.

Margie lived a life marked by kindness, humor, and generosity. She delighted in sharing memories, telling stories, and bringing joy to those around her. A faithful member of Crowders Mountain Baptist Church, she also dedicated many years to serving her community through Gaston Hospice and volunteering at a Greenhouse Ministries thrift store in Murfreesboro, TN whose proceeds supported charitable causes.

She was a loving mother to three sons: the late Paul Dodson Jr., David Dodson (Becki), and the late Randy Dodson, and two step-sons, Don Harmon (Kat) and John Harmon (Gail). Margie leaves behind four grandchildren—Tiffini Lindsay, Brandon Dodson, Joshua Dodson, and Ariel Frame—as well as eight great-grandsons and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Margie is lovingly remembered by her younger sister, Jo Ann Snider, and was preceded in death by her three brothers: Jack Barnes, Jim Barnes, and Vernon Barnes.

Her warmth, humor, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
