Mary Rebecca "Becky" Edwards

Mary Rebecca Edwards, 78, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on August 10, 2023 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC. She was born in Gaston County, NC, daughter of the late Romey and Lexie Lovelace Horton and was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Edwards, a son, Jimmy Owens and 2 siblings, Vernie Ynette and Raymond Horton. Becky was of the Nazarene faith. She worked in textiles as a knitter for most of her life. Becky enjoyed being active and was always ready to travel anywhere and especially loved taking "Sunday drives", no matter the day of week. She enjoyed collecting rocks from every destination she visited. Becky loved taking cruises and was an avid bluegrass music fan. She was an accomplished quilter and could often be found working in her yard, growing beautiful flowers and crafting. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great grandmother whose life lessons and love will be cherished for all times.

Special Daughter: Monique Notarangelo (Tony) and her children: Christian, Timothy and Benjamin Notarangelo

Sisters: Sandy Scates and Lona Freeman, Kings Mountain, NC

11 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel

VISITATION: Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM prior to the service in the Parlor of Harris Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
