Mary Louise Long Maples

December 30, 1922 — December 8, 2015

- Mary Louise Long Maples, age 92, resident of Kings Mountain, was called home to be with the Lord on December 8, 2015. She was born in Cleveland Co, North Carolina to the late Thurman Dewitt Long and Etta Grigg Long. She was also preceded in death by her stepmother Onnie McClain Long, her husband of 64 years Earnest Clyde Maples, her son Ronald D. Maples, two sisters and one brother. She was an active member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where she formerly taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She loved gardening and being outside as well as picking blackberries, cooking and fishing. She was always a sweet and loving woman of God.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Bethlehem Baptist Church, Saturday, December 12 at 2 PM. Dr. Steve Taylor and Rev. Wayne Brazell, officiating

VISITATION: Saturday December 12 from 12:30 to 1:30 in the Christian Activity Center of Bethlehem Baptist Church and other times at the home of the family.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain North Carolina
