Mary Bell (Hughes) Ramsey Haynes

DATELINE:  SHELBY, NORTH CAROLINA Mary Bell Ramsey Haynes Mary Bell Ramsey Haynes, 91, of Shelby, NC, passed away on April 11, 2018 at Cleveland Pines in Shelby, NC. She was born in Calhoun County Alabama to the late John Hughes and Cynthia Hubbard Hughes and was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters. Mary was also preceded in death by a son, Keith Ramsey and her first husband of 50 years, Freelon Ramsey. She was a member of Anew Beginning Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, NC. Mary retired from the textile industry after 40 years of service. She enjoyed attending church softball games and enjoyed taking trips to Alabama. Mary loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. SURVIVORS: Husband of 17 years, JD Haynes of Shelby, NC Son: Jerry Ramsey of Grover, NC. Stepson: James Haynes of Shelby, NC Grandchildren: Doug Ramsey and wife Leslie, Blacksburg, SC Brian Ramsey, Blacksburg, SC Christy, Amy, Jerrell, Tyler, Tonya and Keith Ramsey Sisters: Cora Mae Smith and Mattie Lou Hurst of Alabama Special Friend: Shirley Standridge
