MARY JOAN SPENCER

Mary Joan  Spencer, 84 of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on June 22, 2018 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain, NC.  Born in   Cleveland county, she was the daughter of the late Everette Ford and Blanche Bell Ford. She  was preceded in death by her husband of   25 years Charles Robert Porter and husbands Harold Bohlen and RIchard  Spencer.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Ellese Spenser and son-in-law Gregory Tate.  She was a long time member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and was retired from the drug store business.  She liked to travel and enjoyed caring for others. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

SURVIVORS:  2 Daughters:  Debbie Goforth,  and husband Paul,Kings Mountain,  NC

Kim Tate, Kings Mountain, NC

3 Grandchildren: Anna, Brooks and Kristen

2 Great-grandchildren:  Aiden and Callahan

2 Brothers:  Bob Ford and wife Pearl, Kings Mountain, and

Hildred Ford and wife Hazel, Lowell, NC

FUNERAL SERVICE:  Sunday, June 24, 2018, 3:00 PM, Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Brackett officiating

VISITATION:  1:30 PM to 2:30 PM  prior to the service in the church fellowship hall

INTERNMENT:  Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery
