MARY LOU MCDANIEL VALENTINE - Mary Lou McDaniel Valentine, age 82 , resident of Harrisburg, NC, formerly of Shelby, passed away on August 16, 2015 at Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC. She was born in York Co, SC to the late James Floyd McDaniel, Sr. and Annie Harmon McDaniel. She was also preceded in death by her sister Dora Ann McDaniel Blanton and brother J. F. McDaniel, Jr. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, NC. She loved all animals, especially her cats. She was an avid gardener who loved working in her yard, tending to her flowers, Elvis, and NASCAR racing. She enjoyed sitting in her rocking chair among her flowers. In her youth she enjoyed sports including basketball, roller skating and bowling. She was a strong and loving woman who will be missed dearly.
