Melba Costner Ware

MELBA COSTNER WARE - Melba Costner Ware, age 87, resident of Kings Mountain, NC passed away on December 29, 2014 at White Oak Manor, Kings Mtn. NC. She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Thomas Evans Costner and Mary Etta Sellers Costner. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Walter Ware; and daughter, Donna Ware. Mrs. Ware was retired from Cleveland County Schools and an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was a loving mother who loved her family and raised her family in a loving Christian home. She was a wonderful southern cook and loved sewing, gardening, and traveling. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of White Oak Manor and her roommate, Janette Lail.

SURVIVORS: Daughters: Kathy Ware Greene, Shelby, NC Amy Ware Pearson and husband Tim, Kings Mtn. NC Brother: Dean Costner, Kings Mtn. NC 3 Grandchildren: Joe Hamrick, Kyle Hamrick, Lacey Pearson.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Oak Grove Baptist Church, Friday, January 2, 2015 2:00 P.M. Rev. Ronell Owensby, officiating.

VISITATION: 4:30 - 6:30 P.M. Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT: Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
