SHELBY-Michael A. Davis, 54, of 516 Franklin Avenue, passed away, July 25, 2010, at Gaston Memorial Hospital, He was born in Cleveland County, the son of the late Joe Davis. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Tony Davis. He was a member of Putnam Baptist Church, Shelby, N.C. and an employee of FMC Lithium, Bessemer City, N.C. He is sur-vived by his wife of 35 years, Marsha McDaniel Davis, of Shelby, mother, Doris Burdette Davis, of Shelby, daughter, Shannon R. Davis, of Columbia, S.C., sons, Binh N. Davis, and wife Mai, of Greenville, S.C., Jerry C. Davis and wife Nina, of Charlotte, N.C. Thomas M. Davis, of New Bern, N.C., brother, Mark Davis, of Greenville, S.C., sister: Christy D. Sil-ver, Shelby, N.C. and 5 Grandchildren.
