- Mildred Dover Gibson, age 83, former resident of Cherryville, died May 21, 2013 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain. She was born in Cherokee Co., SC, daughter of the late Alberta and Pearl Lee Dover Dover. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Harrison Gibson, a son, Jerry McDaniel and 2 brothers, Joe Dover and Carl Dover. She was a homemaker, an animal lover and a free spirited, strong willed person who was always happy.
