Myra Kay (Mccarter) Howell

DATELINE:  GROVER, NORTH CAROLINA Myra Kay Howell Myra Kay Howell, 79, of Grover, NC, passed away surrounded by her loving daughters on December 09, 2021 at Testa Hospice in Kings Mountain, NC. She was born in Cherokee County, SC, daughter of the late David Durbro and Myra Louise Phillips McCarter and was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jimmie Lee Howell. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Dana Marie Howell, her brother, David Douglas McCarter, and her stepfather, Frank Dale Batchelor. Kay retired from Cleveland County Schools where she worked for many years as a bus driver and in the cafeteria at Grover Elementary School. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Grover. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and reading her bible daily. Kay loved spending time with her family whom she loved with all her heart. The memory of her love, guidance, and  kindness will be cherished by everyone who knew and loved Kay.
