Myrtle Louise Ledbetter

MYRTLE LOUISE LEDBETTER - Myrtle Louise Ledbetter, age 91, resident of Summit Place, formerly of 304 York Road, Kings Mountain, NC went to be with the Lord on February 17, 2011 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late James Arthur Smith and Lillie Love Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, the late Nelson Everette Ledbetter, son, Gary Wayne Ledbetter, sisters, Faye Smith, Estelle Blanton, Inez Smith, Shirley Smith, Jackie Smith and brother, Herman Smith. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, Kings Mtn. NC, employed for many years with Mauney Mill, Kings Mtn. NC, and was a homemaker. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Summit Place, Hospice of Cleveland Co. and special friends, Dennis and Doris Stroup.

SURVIVORS: Son: Charles "Chuck" Ledbetter and wife Kathy, Shelby, NC Sisters: Kay Furr, Kings Mtn. NC Doris Murray, Shelby, NC Rosa Lee Spangler, Myrtle Beach, SC Lois Citron, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 5 Grandchildren: Wayde Ledbetter, Dale Ledbetter, Rose Ray, Trent Hoyle, and Lacy Hoyle. 11 Great Grandchildren: Tosha Stroup, Kaylin Ledbetter, Ashley Ledbetter, Devin Ledbetter, Robert Allard, Davina Gibson, Raven Hoyle, Andrew Hoyle, Ethan Hoyle, Dia Ray, and Emma Ray. 3 Great Great Grandchildren: Baylee Stroup, Gabe Stroup, Brooklynn Allard. FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Sunday, February 20, 2011 4:00 P.M. Rev. Jody Griffin and Rev. Ron Caulder, officiating.

VISITATION: 2:30 - 3:30 P.M. Sunday afternoon, February 20, 2011 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home and other times at the home of the son, 112 Nelson Cove, Shelby, NC

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
