Nancy Bridges Waters

Nancy Bridges Waters, 84, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on June 23, 2025 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC. She was born January 28, 1941 in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late Henry and Pauline Lovelace Bridges and was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin "EC" Waters, her son, Scott Waters and his wife, Kim, and 2 sisters, Rachel Stewart and Judy Ann Bridges. Nancy worked as an inspector at Kings Mountain Knit for many years and retired from Anvil Knit. She was a former member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years and a current longtime member of Christian Freedom Baptist Church. After her retirement, Nancy served the community as a foster grandparent at West Elementary School and enjoyed volunteering with Hospice of Cleveland County. Nancy was a woman of immense and deep faith and was known to always have a sweet smile on her face. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to so many. Her kindness and sweet spirit will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Siblings: Fred Bridges (Doris), Bill Bridges, Lee Bridges (Connie), Shirley Reichartz (Mike Moore), and Trudy Martin (Scott)

Grandchildren: Chastity Singleton, Jeff Waters (Kelly), Logan Waters, Zach Griffin, and Tiffany Lail (Kenny)

FUNERAL SERVICE: Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Christian Freedom Church with James Sneed officiating

VISITATION: Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM prior to the service at Christian Freedom Church

INTERMENT: Christian Freedom Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
