Nelson Lee Whary

NELSON LEE WHARY -Nelson Lee Whary, age 81 former resident of Kings Mountain, NC peacefully passed away on October 4, 2016 at home. He was born in Lewiston, ME to the late Lee Nelson Whary and Roseanna Aube Whary. Mr. Whary was a former employee of Giant Foods, Landover, MD and the United States Postal Service, Fayetteville, NC. He was formerly employed as Club House Manager for the Kings Mountain Country Club. He was a member of the Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, Belmont, NC and the Elks Lodge #1081 Fayetteville, NC. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Nelson was a wonderful and loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

SURVIVORS: Wife of 59 years: Billie Hardee Whary, Mt. Holly, NC Daughters: Kay W. Comer, Mt. Holly, NC Paula W. Greene and husband Tim, Charlotte, NC Connie W. Greene and husband Dale, Kings Mtn. NC 7 Grandchildren: Megan Savage and husband Kevin, Anna Sweeney and husband Ian, Andrew Moore and wife Maurissa, Christopher Greene and wife Kaleigh, Mary Greene, Victoria Fore and husband Nathan, and Meredith Greene. 7 Great Grandchildren.
