Norman Webster

KINGS MOUNTAIN-Norman Webster, age 67, a resident of 109 Putnam Lake Road, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 8, 2010, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center, Shelby, after a short battle with cancer.
Born in Cleveland County, to the late James F. Webster and Annie Mae Putnam Webster, he was retired from Winn-Dixie as market manager after 45 years of service. He was also an employee of Cleveland County. Schools at Bethware Elementary, Kings Mtn. A member of Patterson Grove Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, he served as deacon, treasurer and was a member of the choir. He served in the North Carolina National Guard, 503rd Engineering Battalion. He was a loving husband, Daddy and Poppy, who loved to be outdoors and spend time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Frankie Hamrick Webster of Kings Mountain; son, Brian Webster and his wife, Jennifer, of Kings Mountain; daughter, Beth W. Wease and her husband, Billy Wease Jr. of Kings Mountain; brothers, Bobby Webster and his wife, Annette of Kings Mountain, Tim Webster and his wife, Susan of Clemmons and Jerry Webster and his wife Patricia, of Shelby; sister, Becky Pruitt and her husband, Mike of Kings Mountain; six grandchildren, Garrett Wease, Olivia Wease, Ethan Wease, Emily Webster, Johnathon Webster and Abby Webster and an honorary brother, Johnny Jones of Kings Mountain.
He is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Patterson Grove Baptist Church
Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Patterson Grove Baptist Church
Interment: Patterson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
