REVERAND ODAS SHELTON
- Rev. Odas Shelton, age 90, a resident of 312 Walker Street went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 31, 2014 at the Kings Mountain Hospice House. He was born in Madison County, NC, son of the late Farida and Martha Baldwin Shelton and was also preceded in death by 3 sisters and 5 brothers. He served for 20 years as chaplain of the Kings Mountain Rescue Squad and spent most of his time in ministry to others at nursing homes and hospitals. He was the Pastor of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and a WW II Army veteran. He also retired from Sadie Mills in Kings Mountain, NC.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Tuesday, November 4, 2014 At 3:00 P.M. Rev. Johnny Gantt and Rev. James Lochridge, officiating.
VISITATION: 2:00 to 3 P.M. Tuesday afternoon prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home.
INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC 28086 with full military honors provided by the Foothill’s Chapter of the Marine Corp League.
