ORANGEL PARRISH McDANIEL - Orangel Parrish McDaniel, age 81, resident of Kings Mountain, NC died January 14, 2014 at Courtland Terrace, Gastonia, NC. She was born in Cleveland Co, NC to the late Robert Nathan Parrish and Etta Harmon Parrish. She was also preceded in death by her son, Tim McDaniel; 2 brothers and 6 sisters. Mrs. McDaniel was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and retired from Mauney Hoisery after 27 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed cooking, especially Christmas candy.

SURVIVORS: Husband of 58 years: Rodger McDaniel, Kings Mtn. NC Son: Phillip McDaniel and wife Linda, Kings Mtn. NC Daughter: Cindy Smith and husband Randy, Dallas, NC Daughter-in-law: Laura Childers, Kings Mtn. NC 6 Grandchildren: Chad McDaniel, Adam McDaniel, Lisa Gee, Ashley Marshall, Karen Smith, and Travis McDaniel 3 Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Bethlehem Baptist Church, Friday, January 17, 2014 2:00 P.M. Dr. Steve Taylor and Rev. David Blanton, officiating. VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday evening, January 16, 2014 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
