PEGGY CHANEY - Peggy Chaney, age 78, a resident of 702 Erskine Dr. Kings Mountain, NC, died Friday, December 30, 2011 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, NC. Born in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late Reverend Robert L. and Winnie Moss Chaney and preceded in death by three brothers, Grady Chaney, Robert Chaney and Johnny Chaney and four sisters, Dot "Sis" Chaney Phillips, Loretta Lee Chaney, Lucille Gladden and Edith Millwood. She owned Peggy's Restaurant in Kings Mountain for 22 years. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church, she was a wonderful person and her cooking will be missed.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Eastside Baptist Church, Tuesday, January 3, 2012, at 3:00 P.M. Reverends Ron Caulder, Jerry Millwood and Eugene Land, officiating.

VISITATION: 6:00 to 8:00 Monday night, January 2, 2012 at Harris Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
