Peggy Rippy Wingo

PEGGY RIPPY WINGO - Peggy Rippy Wingo, age 75, resident of Kings Mountain, NC died August 17, 2013 at Crawley Memorial Hospital, Boiling Springs, NC. She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late V. C. Rippy and Geneva Ham Rippy. She was also preceded in death by her brother, William Rippy, and sisters, Margaret Davis and Mildred Gladden. Mrs. Wingo was a registered nurse and retired as an industrial nurse from Galey and Lord Textiles, Gastonia, NC. She was a charter member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, Kings Mtn. NC. She was a loving, wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.

SURVIVORS: Husband of 23 years: Jack Wingo, Kings Mtn. NC Sons: Jeff Rowell and wife Wanda, Shelby, NC Ron Rowell Daughters: Ann Smithwick and husband Gary, Danville, VA Eve Swann and husband John, Charlotte, NC Step-Sons: Robert Wingo and wife Lisa, Houston, TX and Andrew Wingo and wife Sharon, Mooresville, NC Sister: Mae Hambright, York, SC 11 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Resurrection Lutheran Church, Monday, August 19, 2013 3:00 P.M. Rev. Hobby Outten, officiating.

VISITATION: 1:00 - 2:30 P.M. Monday, August 19, 2013 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
