Ralph Champion

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Ralph Champion Ralph Champion, 77, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on October 8, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Cleveland County, NC.  Son of the late George Perry Champion and Daisy Mae Emory.  He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. Ralph retired from the City of Kings Mountain where he worked in the city cemetery for many years. Ralph enjoyed fishing, building birdhouses, and working in his building. He loved spending time with his family and friends. SURVIVORS: Sons: Perry Lee Champion, Kings Mountain, NC, Daughters: Lisa Messick (Lewis) Kings Mountain, NC, Sisters:  Sally Thomas, Peggy Vess, and Rosemary Lancaster Grandchildren: Three Grandchildren Great-Grandchildren: One Great-Grandchild A graveside Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Mountain Rest Cemetery with Reverend Ronnie Dale officiating. The family will speak with attendees immediately following the service in the cemetery.
