Richard "Doug" Stroup

RICHARD "DOUG" STROUP - Richard "Doug" Stroup, age 55, resident of Kings Mountain, unexpectedly left this world on February 20. 2016. He was born in Cuyahoga County Ohio to the late Hughlon Yates Stroup and Lois Jean Blanton Ivester. He was also preceded in death by his brother Ronnie Stroup. He was a member of the Royal Praise Ministries Church in Kings Mountain. He has been a cook at Ronda's Kitchen for the past 8 years and was previously employed by Anvil Knits of Kings Mountain. He loved working and spending time with his children.

Lanny Stroup, Chesnee, SC Steven Campbell, Myrtle Beach, SC Daughter: Krystal Stroup and boyfriend Michael Brown, Grover Stepfather: Hugh Lee Ivester, Toluca, NC Brother: Vernon Stroup and wife Patsy, Shelby, NC Sister: Renee Belcher and husband Ronnie, Kings Mountain, NC Special Friends: Alicia Boone, Kings Mountain, Donna Boheler , Kings Mountain Penny Powell, Clarksville, Tn. 8 Grandchildren: Cheyenne, Mariyah, Khloe, Desiree, Anthony, Bentley, Curtis, Sierra and 1 on the way Great Grandchildren: 1 on the way

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel Wednesday, February 24, 2016 4:00 P.M. Reverend Brady Jackson, officiating

VISITATION: 2:00 - 3:30 P.M. Wednesday, February 24, 2016 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
