DATELINE: KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA NAME: ROBERT BESS - Robert Wayne Bess, age 75, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on February 14, 2017 at Carolinas Health Care System - Lincolnton, NC. Born in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Daniel Wayne Bess. Robert served as a Gunnery Sgt. in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict. He was retired from Carolina Handling Company as a forklift technician. He enjoyed surf fishing and camping. He was a loving, father, grandfather, husband, brother, son, and friend.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, February 18, 2017 11:00 AM Christian Freedom Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, NC
VISITATION: Friday, February 17, 2017 6:00pm-8:00pm at Harris Funeral Home
INTERMENT: Full Military Honors provided by the Marine Corp League, Foothills Detachment, Christian Freedom Baptist Church Cemetery after the service.
