Robert "Bob" Lewis Dover, 79, of Grover, NC, peacefully departed this life at home on July 18, 2026. Born on March 25, 1947, in Cleveland County, NC, Bob was the cherished son of the late Benjamin Andrew and Lou Vonie Holcombe Dover. He is reunited in peace with his siblings, Johnny Dover, Juanita Whitworth, Nancy Price, Donald "Duck" Dover, Gene Smith, and Nell Smith. Bob served honorably in the US Army from 1968 to 1972, dedicating his strength and commitment to his country. A devoted member of Allen Memorial Baptist Church, Bob's faith was a guiding light throughout his life. His gift for mechanics was evident in his ability to repair anything, a talent he joyfully shared with his grandchildren, ensuring they were engaged and inspired. Family was Bob's heart and soul. As a faithful husband, devoted father, and adoring grandfather to two generations, he poured out love and wisdom that will be treasured forever. His presence and guidance enriched the lives of all who knew him, leaving an everlasting legacy of love and devotion.

Grandchildren: Colt McAbee, Brandon Dover, Samantha Deaton (Taylor Graham), Savannah Deaton (Bradley Weaver), Summer Melton (John Harmon)

Great Grandchildren: Eden Melton, John Luke Melton, Caleb McAbee, and Archer Graham

FUNERAL SERVICE: Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Allen Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend John Harmon Melton officiating

VISITATION: Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM prior to the service at the church

INTERMENT: Allen Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, Grover, North Carolina
