Roger Goins

ROGER GOINS - Roger Goins, age 80 resident of Kings Mountain, NC passed away on March 9, 2016 at Testa Family Hospice House, Kings Mtn. NC. He was born in Cleveland Co, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents Bill Short and Louise Goins McAlley, and his step-father, Ray Collins. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sue Goins. Roger was the owner and operator of Roger's Bar-B-Que, Kings Mtn. NC for many years and was a retired truck driver after 30 years of service. He was a member of Second Baptist Church, Kings Mtn. NC and he enjoyed his charitable and volunteer work. Roger was always willing to help others.

SURVIVORS: Daughter: Michelle Johnson Yow and husband T. J., Kings Mtn. NC Son: Michael Robinson, Clover, SC 5 Grandchildren: Courtney Johnson, Cameron Johnson, Jonathan Robinson, Courtney Robinson, and Caleb Robinson.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Saturday, March 12, 2016 3:00 P.M. Rev. James Lockridge and Rev. Dennis M. Pruitt, officiating.

VISITATION: 7:00 - 8:30 P.M. Friday evening, March 11, 2016 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
