Ruby Lefevers Davenport

RUBY LEFEVERS DAVENPORT Ruby Davenport, age 90, longtime resident of Kings Mountain, NC went to be with the Lord on September 29, 2013 while at Carolina Care Center, Cherryville, NC. She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Perry Lefevers and Maude Bell Lefevers. She was also preceded in death by her son, Mike Davenport; sister, Bessie Cobb; brothers, Lawson Perry Lefevers, Mack Lefevers, Bryant Lefevers, Gene Lefevers, J.D. "Tiny" Lefevers, and Ross "RC" Lefevers. Mrs. Davenport was a member of First Wesleyan Church, Kings Mtn. NC and was retired from Park Yarn Mills. She was known as the "puzzle queen" and the "wheel chair race champion" while at Carolina Care Center.

SURVIVORS: Sons: John Davenport, Jr. and wife Misako, Titusville, FL David Davenport and wife Robin, Maiden, NC Daughter: Peggy D. Mobley and husband Butch, Villa Rica, GA 7 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren.

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Wednesday, October 2, 2013 2:00 P.M. Rev. Don Williams, officiating.

VISITATION: 12:30 - 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, October 2, 2013 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
