Ruby Randolph Poteat

RUBY RANDOLPH POTEAT - Ruby Randolph Poteat, age 83, a resident of Kings Mountain, went to be with the Lord on August 13, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center Kings Mountain. She was born in McDowell Co, NC to the late Carl Lee Randolph and Addie A. Ritter Randolph. She was also preceded in death by her brother Carl Lee "Sonny" Randolph Jr. and son-in-law Bobby Dean Hawkins. She was a retired registered nurse, serving as night supervisor of nursing and assistant to the director of nursing at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. She was an avid reader and loved listening to Elvis. She was true blue Duke basketball fan.

SURVIVORS: Daughter: Leslie Poteat Hawkins, Kings Mountain Sisters: Betty Randolph Hyder, Simpsonville, SC Joyce Shelton Paulin, Dallas NC Dolores Randolph Brine and husband George, Durham, NC Grandchildren: Kristopher Hawkins Korey Hawkins Great Grandchild: Piper Hawkins Numerous Nieces and Nephews
