Ruby Burton Warlick

RUBY BURTON WARLICK - Ruby Burton Warlick, age 93, resident of Gastonia, NC formerly of Kings Mountain entered into her new life as a whole person after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's and Dementia on June 25, 2016. She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late Andrew Lee Burton and Virginia Falls Burton. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, James Lewis Warlick; sister, Avel Sellers; brothers, Dorse Burton, Clarence Burton and Doyle Burton. Mrs. Warlick was a homemaker and former employee of Clevemont Mills, Kings Mtn. NC. She was a longtime member of Penley's Chapel Church, Kings Mtn. NC where she served as Sunday School teacher. Ruby loved being outdoors and working in her yard. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

SURVIVORS: Son: Wayne Warlick and wife Judi, Kings Mtn. NC Daughter: Gail Warlick Fisher and fiancAC.e Alvin Garner, York, SC Brother: Harold Dean Burton, Kings Mtn. NC Sisters: Thelma Sellers and Shirley Rucker, both of Kings Mtn. NC 5 Grandchildren: Melanie Ward, Pamela Bradley, Suzette Yow, Steven Warlick, and Dianne Penlan. 3 Step-Grandchildren: T.K. Wallace, Brian Bradshaw, and Sherry Beattie. 7 Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Penley's Chapel Church, Tuesday, June 28, 2016 3:00 P.M. Pastor Doug Allen and Pastor Melvin Proctor, officiating.

VISITATION: 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, June 28, 2016 prior to the service in the sanctuary of Penley's Chapel Church, 1508 North Piedmont Ave, Kings Mtn. North Carolina

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
