Ruth W Gantt, 81, of Kings Mountain, NC, went home to be with her Lord on June 12, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, at Robin Johnson House in Dallas, NC. She was born in Cleveland County NC, daughter of the late Jonas Wright and Willie Burton Wright and was preceded in death by her siblings Hazel Coleman, Bobbie McKee, Patricia Herndon, and Kathy Brothers. Ruth was a devoted homemaker. Her love and passion was to be a caregiver for her entire family.  Ruth wanted to be at home and around her family, keeping the grandchildren, and taking care of the house. She enjoyed canning and cooking. She was a devoted member of Independent Baptist Tabernacle in Dallas, NC for more than 45 years. Her kindness, compassion, and love has left a lasting impact on those who knew and loved her. Ruth will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

SURVIVORS:  Husband of 66 years Johnny Gantt, of the home Children: Judy Center (Daniel) Kings Mountain, NC; Sandra Davis (Jeffery) Kings Mountain, NC; and Linda Dye (Chris) Clover, SC Sister: Shirley Johnson, Kings Mountain, NC Grandchildren: Brian Center, Melanie Putnam (Brandon), and Candace Hege (Patrick) Great Grandchildren: Mason Putnam, Parker Center, Brinley Putnam and Preslie Center

FUNERAL SERVICE:  Saturday June 15, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel at Harris Funeral Home Kings Mountain, NC with the Pastor Dr. Timothy Sims officiating

VISITATION:  Saturday June 15, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:50 PM at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, NC

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
