SHIRLEY MAE BUCHANAN SLAUGHTER - Shirley Mae Buchanan Slaughter, age 70 resident of Kings Mountain, NC passed away September 2, 2014 at Kings Mountain Hospital. She was born in California to the late Kelly Neal and Pearline Whitesides. She was also preceded in death by husband, Joe Neil Slaughter; son, Jerry Lee Buchanan; and brother, Kelly "Buck" Whitesides; sister, Judy Price. She was retired from the textile industry.

SURVIVORS: Sons: Bruce Ray Buchanan, Sr. and wife Shirley, Gastonia, NC Robert Neal "Spud" Buchanan and wife Nancy, Kings Mtn. NC Daughter: Lisa Buchanan, Kings Mtn. NC Sisters: Betty Howe, Clover, SC; Carolyn Beachum, Clover, SC; Deborah Lewellyn, Gastonia, NC. 9 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Friday, September 5, 2014 6:00 P.M. Rev. Larry Laws, officiating.

VISITATION: 5:00 - 6:00 P.M. Friday, September 5, 2014 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
