Stella Amanda (Mcguire) Smith

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Stella Amanda Smith Stella Amanda Smith, 91, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on August 25, 2018 at Summitt Place in Kings Mountain, NC. Born in Oconee County, SC, She was the daughter of the late David M McGuire and Estella Crawford McGuire and was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Vernon L. "Peanut" Smith and five sisters and two brothers. Stella was retired from Kings Mountain Hospital where she worked as a Registrar. She was a long time member of Macedonia Baptist Church. Although Stella never had any children of her own, the Lord blessed her and Peanut with 1800 children from the Baptist's Children's Home. The family would like to thank the employees of Summit Place for the exceptional care and compassion they gave Stella.
