Stella Davis Ware

STELLA DAVIS WARE - Stella Davis Ware, dearly loved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother died peacefully on November 15, 2012 surrounded by her devoted family at Cleveland Regional Medical Center, Shelby, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Ollie Davis, her special mother Annie, brothers Roland and James Davis and her sister Helen Lyerly. She was a graduate of Gastonia High School in 1950, retired after 30 years of service from Kings Mountain District Schools as Food Service Director, and an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, Kings Mtn. She was a member of the Kings Mountain Hospital Auxillary and was awarded Volunteer of the Year in 2011.

Stella's most prized possession was her family.

SURVIVORS: Husband of 62 years: James Buford Ware, Kings Mtn. NC Son: Jim Ware and wife Debbie, Gastonia, NC Daughter: Karen Ware Hayes, and husband Gus, Kings Mtn. NC Brother: Harold Davis, Perryville, MO Grandchildren: Loren Ware Radford, and husband David, Gastonia, NC Whitney Ware, Gastonia, NC 2 Great Grandchildren: Stella Grace Radford and Annabelle Catherine Radford. Special Niece: Vicki Bolick Parnell and husband Sam, Kings Mtn. NC Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Oak Grove Baptist Church, Sunday, November 18, 2012 3:00 P.M. Rev. Ron Caulder and Rev. Travis Northcutt, officiating.

VISITATION: 1:00 - 2:30 P.M. Sunday afternoon, November 18, 2012 prior to the service in sanctuary of the church.

INTERMENT: Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
