SUSAN BURTON HOOKS

- Susan Burton Hooks, age 89, resident of Kings Mountain, NC died March 29, 2014 at Carolina’s Medical Center, Pineville, NC. She was born in Cleveland Co. NC to the late John Harper Burton and Laura Jane Goforth Burton. She was also preceded in death by her husand, James Daniel Hooks; son, James W. “Jimmy” Hooks; and daughters, Joyce Diane Hooks and Frances Ruth Phillips. Mrs. Hooks loved being at home with her family and enjoyed gardening. She was retired from Kings Mountain Knit.

SURVIVORS: Daughter: Betty Taylor, Ft. Mill, SC

Brothers: Doc Burton and Carl Burton, both of Kings Mtn. NC

Sister: Margaret King, Kings Mtn. NC

6 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.

1:00 P.M. Rev. Clarence Hensley, officiating.

VISITATION: 12:00 – 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 1, 2014 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
