Sylvia Davis Grigg

SYLVIA DAVIS GRIGG - Sylvia Davis Grigg, 87, resident of Kings Mountain, NC went to be with the Lord on January 12, 2015 at Brian Center, Gastonia, NC. She was born in Lincoln Co. NC to the late Garmon Davis and Minnie Lovelace Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Gaston Theodore Grigg; Grandchild, Johnny Lee Brackett; brothers, Franklin Davis, Norman Davis, Herschel Davis, Glenn Davis; sisters, Rachel Costner and Eunice Horn. She was retired from Cleveland County Schools, Food Service. She was a lifelong and active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School and VBS teacher and a member of the WMU. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved working in her flower garden and cooking.

SURVIVORS: Sons: Kenneth Grigg and wife Teddy, Cherryville, NC Billy Grigg and wife Anne, Kings Mtn. NC Dr. Eddie Grigg and wife Susan, Mint Hill, NC Daughter: Martha Brackett and husband Everette, Grover, NC Sisters: Dorothy Grigg, Waco, NC; Mozelle Justice, Kings Mtn. NC; Fairylee Coffey, Boone, NC 10 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Oak Grove Baptist Church, Wednesday, January 14, 2015 2:00 P.M. Rev. Ron Caulder, Rev. Ronell Owensby and Rev. Eddie Grigg, officiating.

VISITATION: 6:30 - 8:30 P.M. Tuesday evening, January 13, 2015 at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT: Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
