Ted Ray Watkins

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Ted Ray Watkins Ted Ray Watkins, 79, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on August 31, 2020 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC. He was born in Cleveland County, NC, son of the late Joe and Hester Mauney Watkins and was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Watkins and sisters, Margaret Champion and Jeanette Jones. Ted was also preceded in death by three grandchildren, Jennifer Mullinax, Sharon Ellis and Dustin Putnam. He was of the Christian faith. Ted enjoyed watching baseball and his favorite show, Family Feud. He was an avid fisherman, spending many days on the water over the years. He enjoyed playing cards and his absence at his weekly games will be a tremendous loss to his friends. Ted was a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be missed greatly by his family and many friends.
