Thelma Wilson Murphree

THELMA WILSON MURPHREE - Thelma Wilson Murphree, age 84, a resident of Kings Mountain, went to be with the Lord on January 8, 2015 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. She was born in Spindale, NC, daughter of the late David Preston and Hattie Boyd Wilson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Mrs. Murphree was a former nurse for Hendricks, Durham and Lee Clinic in Kings Mountain, Gaston Urological in Gastonia, a member of First Wesleyan Church in Kings Mountain and served in the United States Air Force. She was a loving mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family.

SURVIVORS: Sons; Michael Murphree, Kings Mountain Robert Murphree, Kings Mountain Stephen Daniel "Danny" Murphree, Jr.,, Santa Maria, Ca. 8 Grandchildren and 1 Great-Grandchild Numerous Nieces and Nephews

MEMORIAL SERVICE: First Wesleyan Church, Kings Mountain, NC Monday, January 12, 2015 7:00 P.M. Rev. Don Williams and Rev. Eddie Gray, officiating

VISITATION: 5:30-6:30 P.M., Monday, January 12, 2015, prior to the service in the sanctuary of First Wesleyan Church.
