THELMA JAY ISLER ROARK - Thelma Jay Isler Roark, age 97, of Grover, NC passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at White Oak Manor, Kings Mtn. NC. She was born in Cherokee Co, SC to the late Joe and Daisy Pruitt Isler. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Wayne Roark; her son, Harold Roark; grandson, Kenny Roark; great grandson infant John Roark and sisters, Pauline Wilson, Corrine Cook, and Ruby Queen. She was the oldest church member of First Baptist Church, Grover, NC and was retired from Minette Mills, Grover. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

SURVIVORS: Sons: Richard Don Roark and wife Joyce, Kings Mtn. NC Larry Roark, Grover, NC David D. Roark and wife Nancy, Blacksburg, SC Sister: Wilma "Bill" Putnam, Kings Mtn. NC 6 Grandchildren: Lisa Roark Howell and husband Mark, King Mtn. NC Donna Roark, Kings Mtn. NC David Y. Roark and wife Hope, Blacksburg, SC Heather Roark Eason and husband, Tommy, Raleigh, NC Wayne Roark and wife Samantha, Blacksburg, SC Cathy Roark, Kings Mtn. NC 11 Great Grandchildren.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Monday, November 18, 2013 3:00 P.M. Rev. John Barnhardt, officiating.

VISITATION: 1:30 - 2:30 P.M. Monday, November 18, 2013 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT: Grover Cemetery, Grover, North Carolina
