Thomas "Tom" Edward Adams

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA Thomas Edward Adams Thomas Edward Adams, 86, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on June 9, 2019 at his home. He was born in York County, SC, to the late Edward Leroy Adams and Ollie Smart Adams and was preceded in death by his brothers, Knox and Mack Adams and a sister, Beth McDowell. Tom was a member of East Baptist Church in Gastonia. He retired from Bowater after 28 years of service as a mill operator. Tom loved being outside and always stayed busy. He enjoyed creating things out of rocks and loved cutting wood. He spent 13 years as the caretaker at Lake Montonia, where he lived. Tom was a happy person who possessed a contagious smile. He was a hard worker who was always fair with everyone and lived his life with a high degree of integrity. Tom loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, step father, grandfather and great grandfather. Tom will be missed greatly by his family, friends and the community.
