Vernon Lee Ruppe, 69, of Smyrna, SC, passed away on March 06, 2021 at his home. Born in Cleveland County to the late Harvey Lee Ruppe and Mary Ruby Carroll Howard and was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years Barbara Potts Ruppe. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Gaffney, SC. Before getting sick, he worked for many years in the utility construction industry. He was a member of the Windjammers Motorcycle Club since 1987. He loved riding motorcycles and helping people. He was a family man with a big heart who loved making people laugh. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

SURVIVORS: Son: Nelson Lee Ruppe (Tracy) Gaffney, SC Daughters: Misty Lane (Jeff McDonald) Smyrna, SC and Christie Ruppe (Nina Vincent) Shelby, NC. Girlfriend: Frances Seate, Smyrna, SC Brother: Charles Keith Ruppe, Kings Mountain, NC Sisters: Janet White (Jeff) Blacksburg, SC and Melba Carroll Grover, NC Step dad: Nelson Howard (Lou) Blacksburg, SC Special Aunts: Flora Mae Ruppe and Frances Morton, Kings Mountain, NC 7 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren Many special nieces and nephews too many to mention And his Windjammer Family

FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday March 13, 2021 at 12 noon at The Windjammers Clubhouse 735 Nalley Drive, Shelby NC 28150 with Rev. Tim Osment officiating.

LIE IN STATE: Saturday March 13, 2021 from 11 am to 12 noon at The Windjammers Clubhouse.

VISITATION : Friday March 12, 2021 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Harris Funeral Home at 108 S. Piedmont Avenue, Kings Mountain, NC 28086.  At other times the family will be at the home, 2195 Orchard Rd, Smyrna, SC.

INTERMENT: His "Last Ride"  will be taken from the Windjammers Clubhouse to the Smyrna Baptist Church Cemetery, 1613 McGill Hwy, Smyrna SC  29743
