Vicki Ann (Armstrong) Thrift

DATELINE: SHELBY, NORTH CAROLINA Vicki Ann Thrift Vicki Armstrong Thrift joined her parents and husband in heaven on January 28th, 2023. She was born August 5, 1948, to Oliver Bryson (Junior) and Mary Rebecca (Beck) Armstrong. She was married in 1965 to the late Harold Thrift. Vicki was also preceded in death by her brother Tommy Armstrong. A Cleveland County native, Vicki lived in Kings Mountain, Lawndale, or Shelby for most of her life. She was a resident of the Wendover Hospice House in Shelby when she passed. The family wishes to say a special thank you to her special friend Faye Allison.  Vicki and Faye worked together for many years at FASCO in Shelby. Outside of work, Vicki enjoyed traveling, reading, lake life, birdwatching, her family, and her numerous animals especially her dogs. Surviving siblings include Chuck Armstrong with wife Joy, Debbie Robinson with husband Jeff (Bunky), Mary Lynn with husband David, Todd Armstrong, Terrie Smith Armstrong, and Libby Armstrong. In addition to her siblings, Vicki had many nieces and nephews that she loved and that loved her. These included Tomasina Armstrong, Roy Armstrong, Heath Armstrong, Amy Robinson, Jeffrey Robinson, Sara Lynn Wood, Mary Kathryn Conner, Kevin Lynn, Hayden Lynn, Sophie Williams, Zach Smith, Henry Lewis, William Lewis, Kaylon Shelton, and many others. Vicki will be truly missed by her family and friends. FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Christ the King Church with Rev. Fr. Peter N.
