Vickie Delores Brown Barber, 74, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2025 at her home in Kings Mountain, NC. Born on June 19, 1951, in Gaston County, NC, Vickie was the daughter of the late J.B. "Pete" and Helen Failen Brown. She was welcomed into eternal rest by her brother Clarence Michael Brown and sister Wanda Brown Neal. A proud graduate of the Hunter Huss High School Class of 1969, Vickie dedicated her early career to the printing industry, leaving her mark at both Rainbow Printing and the Kings Mountain Herald. However, it was her remarkable role as a homemaker that truly shone through, where she nurtured and cared for her family with unwavering love. Vickie was a member of Anthony Grove Baptist Church in Crouse, NC. She enjoyed being outdoors and going on camping trips, creating precious memories with her family amidst nature's beauty. As a devoted wife, loving mother, and adoring grandmother to two generations, Vickie was a pillar of strength and love. She was also a dedicated sister and a faithful friend to many. Vickie’s legacy of love, compassion, and joy will be remembered and cherished by all who knew and loved her.

Grandchildren: Caroline Grace Rose, Keeley Faith Crawford, Lyndis Elizabeth Olson, and Randi Carol Olson

FUNERAL SERVICE: Friday, August 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Reverend Dr. Dennis Bean officiating

VISITATION: Friday, August 22, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Hollywood Cemetery, Gastonia, NC
