HURST, TX – Virginia Helen Holt passed away May 11, 2017 at the Community Hospice of Texas, Fort Worth, Texas.
She was born on March 18, 1936 in Habersham County, GA, to Mr. and Mrs. Emory Nicholson and married Ray Holt on March 27, 1954.
She is survived by her husband, Ray Holt; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Anna Holt, son Keith Holt; grandson, Alan Holt and his wife Betsy Widmark Holt and granddaughter, Laura Yale, and her husband Justin Yale.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emory and Alice Nicholson; in-laws, Selvie and Brunese Holt; brothers Corbet and Boyd Nicholson, sisters Kathryn James, Grace Roberts and Hazel Patterson.
She spent her life as a mother and a military spouse and was active in the Kings Mountain community for 30 years as well as First Baptist Hurst, Texas.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017, 2 PM, at Harris Funeral Home, 108 South Piedmont Avenue, Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
