Virginia Smith

KINGS MOUNTAIN - Mrs. Virginia Allen Smith, 86, of 115 Bain Road, died Friday, Jan. 15, 2010, at the home of her daughter.
She was a native of Cleveland County, daughter of the late Authur and Rose Dobbins Allen and wife of the late Frank Smith.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her son, Leonard Smith and numerous brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Smith worked in the textile industry, attended First Wesleyan Church in Kings Mountain and was a member of the Life Enrichment Center in Kings Mountain. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Smith is survived by daughters, Sheila Ervin and husband, Harold, of Kings Mountain, Mary Wright and husband Leonard of Kings Mountain; a brother, Arthur Allen and wife, Ann, of Spartanburg, S.C.; sisters, Margaret Patterson, of Kings Mountain, Barbara Stacy, of North Augusta, Ga. and Elizabeth Smith, of Spartanburg, S.C.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation: The family will receive friends Sunday, Jan. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home in Kings Mountain and other times at the home, 115 Bain Road, Kings Mountain.
