William Clavon "Bill" Kelly

November 21, 1926 — September 7, 2013

WILLIAM CLAVON "BILL" KELLY - William Clavon "Bill" Kelly, age 86, a resident of Kings Mountain, went ot be with the Lord on September 7, 2013 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. He was born in Cherokee Co., SC, son of the late Nathaniel H. Kelly and Sally Khiva Kirby Kelly. Mr. Kelly was a retired Health Inspector for Gaston Co., and the state of North Carolina for 30 years and especially enjoyed the Day Care Centers and the Nursing Homes, the young and the old. He was an active member of First Wesleyan Church in Kings Mountain until declining health, served as a Kings Mountain Councilman from 1997-2003, Mayor Pro-Tem for one term and served on numerous other committees. He was a member of the Fairview Masonic Lodge #339 from which he received the Diamond Jubilee pin and certificate for 60 years as a Master Mason. Clavon was a loving husband, father, grandfather.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Kings Mountain Monday, September 9, 2013 2:00 P.M. Rev. Jimmy Maney and Rev. Don Williams, officiating

VISITATION: 6:30-8:30 p.m., Sunday evening, September 8, 2013 Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain
