William Michael "Mike" Ormand

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA William "Mike" Ormand William Michael Ormand, 72, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on June 26, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. He was born in Gaston County, NC, son of the late Bill and Fayette Blalock Ormand. Mike was lifelong member of Long Creek Presbyterian Church and served his country faithfully for 2 years in the US Army stationed in Germany. Mike worked his entire life as a mechanic and was the owner of ParksGarage for almost 50 years where he became a well known and respected member of the community. He loved spending time with his family and the many friends he made over the years. Mike was a wonderful father, mentor and friend to many who will be missed greatly by everyone who knew him.
