William Kenneth "Ken" Wheat

DATELINE:  KINGS MOUNTAIN, NORTH CAROLINA William Kenneth "Ken" Wheat William Kenneth "Ken" Wheat, 70, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on May 28, 2019 at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville, NC. He was born in Cherokee County, SC, to the late William Archie Wheat and Judy Mae Wright Wheat and was preceded in death by his daughter Denise Williams. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Ken was of the Christian faith. He retired from the dairy industry after more than 20 years of service. Ken served the United States honorably as a US Marine where he served two tours in Vietnam. He was very active and enjoyed painting, woodworking and cooking. Ken was an avid Tar Heel Basketball and Panther Football fan. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. Ken will be missed dearly by his loved ones and friends.
