Betty Collins Allen

Betty Collins Allen, 88, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on January 29, 2024 at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain, NC. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late Horace and Zuna Arrowood Collins and was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Harold Dean Allen. Betty was also preceded in death by her siblings, Louis Collins, Peggy Hudson, and Jerry Collins and her son-in-law, Jeff Bell. Betty was a very caring person who held a strong Christian faith, always willing to help others and was  thought of as a mother by countless people. She retired from Spectrum Dyed Yarns after more than 30 years of service. She was a dedicated homemaker for her family. Betty loved cooking for her loved ones, keeping a tidy home and collecting all types of cookbooks. She enjoyed traveling and taking family vacations, especially beach trips. She loved to listen and dance to 60's and 70's music.  Betty loved her family dearly and enjoyed nothing more than being close to her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful mother, loving grandmother and doting "Nana" whose love and guidance will be cherished for a lifetime by all those who knew her.

SURVIVORS: Daughters: Gail Bell Carroll and husband Rocky and Debbie Allen Crawford and husband Calvin, both of Kings Mountain, NC

Grandchildren: Amy Bell and husband Mike and Christopher Crawford and wife Rose, both of Kings Mountain, NC

Great Grandchildren: Cameron Bell, Avery Bell, Hunter Deering, Macey Deering,

and Cade Crawford

Sister: Coleen Hawkins, Shelby, NC

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Mountain Rest Cemetery with Reverend Mike Chambers officiating

VISITATION: The family will speak with attendees immediately following the service in the cemetery

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
