Betty Christine Pennington, 67, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on November 03, 2023 at Rutherford Regional Health System in Rutherfordton, NC. She was the daughter of the late William and Mary Moore and was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Kenneth Pennington, and 2 daughters, Mary and Kathy Pennington. Christine spent her life as a wife to her husband and a wonderful homemaker to her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed spending time watching television and being around the people she loved. Christine possessed a sweet and endearing soul that was displayed daily in her interactions with the people around her. Her tenderness, compassion and love will be missed dearly by all those who knew her. 

SURVIVORS: Daughter: Betty Vernon

Grandchildren: Tiffany Vernon (Micah Moore), Crystal Vernon, Brittany Robert, Heather Clark (Greg Putnam), and Haley Justice

Great Grandchildren: Brooklyn Bolinger, MJ Robert, Eliana Ortega, Gracen Ortega, and Zachary Justice

A gathering of family and friends to celebrate the life of Christine will be held by her family, at the family home, 400 Rollingbrook Road, Kings Mountain, NC at 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
