Jerry Thomas Wells and Ruth "Betty" Wells
Jerry Thomas Wells and Betty Wells both 75 of Westfield, NC, passed away on April 23 and April 22, 2019.Jerry was born in Cleveland County, NC, to the late Fred Franklin Wells and Ethel Sistare Wells. Jerry was preceded in death by a brother Steve Wells. Betty was born in Cabarrus County, NC, to the late Author and Ida Mae Pinion Hucks. She was preceded in death by a son, Donald Ray Hager and her brothers, Roy, Johnny and Robbie and sisters, Linda Faulkner and Addie Fesperman. Jerry and Betty were a loving couple for 41 years and were both set free of earthly bondage only hours apart. Jerry retired after a lifetime of work in metal fabrication. Betty was a homemaker and caregiver for Jerry for many years. Both Jerry and Betty were of the Christian Faith. Betty and Jerry loved fishing and spending time with family. Both Jerry and Betty were wonderful people and will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved them.

BETTY'S SURVIVORS: Son: Luther Gene Hager Jr. of Shelby
Step Sons: Steven, Mike and Tommy Hager
Sister: Bonnie Swinson and husband, Ray of Citra Fl.
Grandchildren: Christy Pressley and husband, Johnny, Anahuac, TX and Jamie Cruse and wife Brandi, Baytown TX, Cody Hager and Seth Hager
FUNERAL SERVICE: Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel with Pastor Charles Gates officiating
VISITATION: Saturday, April 27, 2019 from  1:00 PM to 1:50 PM prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home.
INTERMENT: Oakview Baptist Church Cemetery, Kings Mountain, NC
